There are those who believe that life here began out there, far across the universe, with tribes of humans who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians, or the Toltecs, or the Mayans. That they may have been the architects of the great pyramids, or the lost civilizations of Lemuria or Atlantis. Some believe that there may yet be brothers of man who even now fight to survive far, far away, amongst the stars.
Fleeing from the Cylon tyranny, the last Battlestar, Galactica, leads a ragtag, fugitive fleet, on a lonely quest — for a shining planet known as Earth.

The Twelve Tribes
Each of the Twelve Lost Tribes of Humans lived in peace. From the Capricans to the Virgoni, the Cancerians to the Taurans, all spent their time enjoying life, working together in a community where wars were a thing of the past. The Colonial Warriors found themselves on border duties, protecting city inhabitants from the indigenous predators of their planets.
Then the Cylons came. A race of androids, created by a race long-since disappeared from the Universe, bent on destroying all other forms of life. Originally, they were of a different form, but they found, in Humans, a flexibility and resistance that they tried to imitate. Now, many years after the beginning of the war with the Cylons, things have turned bad for the Humans.
From an unknown source, a new idea has been placed in the Cylon mind - that of colonisation. From one small world where they produced all their ships, warriors and weapons, the Cylon Empire expanded to more than a dozen worlds. With this expansion came more resources, more Cylons, more weapons and warships than the Humans could possibly manage to muster. Cylon technology took a huge leap in the last one hundred years.
Suddenly, space patrols began disappearing. Warriors were being killed in the line of duty, in such numbers that the Cylon intention became clear - they were advancing on the homeworlds. Scouts were hurriedly constructed and sent out to watch for advancing fleets...
Then, the news came in. The Cylons had begun their advance.
The population panicked, riots broke out, Colonial Warriors were attacked in the streets. Chaos ruled... until one man stepped forward. The Commander of the Fleet, second only to the Council of The Twelve, told of a fleet of warships of such size and power that even the Cylons would be unable to face them. He told of the Battlestars.
And so began the Exodus...
